For example a decentralized unique ID based on a faceID or faceMap can be generated and hashed, or we can use fingerprints or other modern biometric hardware systems that are popular and widely available now in 2025, many of them open-sourced. This opens up a big opportunity to resolve the bots and fake accounts problem that have plagued web 2 for two decades now. An interesting application here could be a user referal or signup system that can wipe the floor with any web 2 UAC strategy. We’re talking overtaking the average UAC metric possible in web 2 by orders of magnitude. Web 2 is mostly based on advertising, but also on subscription, pledge, donation, traditional SEO, leads and cold email marketing, commission based recruiting / sales, different progression systems and interest schemes, investment schemes and many other things. I may have cut the list short, but the gem here is the innovation in digital human user identification and state of the art security possible only with a decentralized blockchain based highlty distributed system, or maybe even a step beyond blockchain.

The financial world has long operated on a principle of leverage and interest, a model refined and weaponized by banks since time immemorial. The modern equivalent saw banks thriving on a 5% interest model (not anymore, it’s negative now, you pay them to keep your money), while platforms like YouTube gives out a 55% cut, and Substack and Patreon operate at a staggering 95% return to creators—yet all still rely on banks.

With blockchain technology and AI at our disposal, one must ask the logical question: Where are the 100% return platforms or apps? And why do we remain tethered to traditional banks?

This story begins in England, post-Napoleon Bonaparte. A cunning strategy involved a fake messenger delivering false news of defeat, triggering panic among the English elite who then sold assets at rock-bottom prices. This orchestrated move laid the foundation for a pivotal change in financial history. This secretive group of Jewelers and Murderers (probably descendants of Knights Templar and descendants from the Kazakh Khanate empire) agreed to lend money to the broke English elite to start rebuilding their wealth. This time, they demanded not just repayment, but also a change in law to legalize interest—previously condemned as usury.

Thus began the era of legalized loan sharking. The banks positioned themselves as the gatekeepers of finance, lending money with interest, a practice that allowed them to dominate both sides of the transaction. They lent more than they had, leveraging assets up to ten times their actual value. The Federal Reserve's "Modern Money Mechanics" manual detailed this system, showing how banks could conjure money from thin air, lending up to nine times what they borrowed from the government.

Starting with a modest 5%, banks grew ever more powerful, eventually taking over money issuance through practices like Quantitative Easing. They create 100% of the money supply and demand interest on it, leading to an inescapable cycle: the interest required to repay loans simply doesn't exist within the system. It's a tax on ignorance and an unsustainable model.

Today, in 2024, we witness an unprecedented shift. The boomer generation is losing its grip on power to the tech-savvy millennials, who see through the fog of lies and deceit that have clouded the financial system for decades. As information becomes more accessible, so too do the truths hidden by the banking elite.

Yet greed persists, adapting to new technologies. The same individuals who once manipulated traditional finance now seek to control blockchain and AI. However, they face a significant barrier: they lack the competence to manage the coming crisis. The financial pyramid is inverting, and decentralization is poised to become reality.

Despite seeing little added value thus far, with meme coins, wars, and pandemics serving as distractions, the real battle looms on the horizon. The banks are in retreat, building bunkers in anticipation of the inevitable collapse. Our task is to develop alternatives for when—not if—the system fails.

The aging COBOL mainframes of the financial world are on the brink. I believe that initiatives like FreeHumans.World will steer us through the wealth transfer and crises ahead. A decentralized Web 3 business model is within reach. Platforms like Patreon and Kick, returning 95% of wealth to users, have paved the way.

You may have noticed that many people currently interested in Web 3 perceive it as nothing more than a term to be exploited, a marketing ploy, a label that can be slapped onto anything to make it appear shinier and more enticing.

Currently, they are merely testing the waters, hoping to discover a fresh and appealing angle to attract both brave and risk-averse investors, often referred to by well-informed individuals as "financially uneducated." True HODLers, on the other hand, categorize them as "weak hands" as opposed to "Diamond Hands."

Let me make this clear: I'm not concerned about anyone's affiliation with a particular group. I lost interest in speculation a long time ago and now appreciate scientific precision and insider information. Lately, I've also developed an interest in investing in technologies favored by women, as they tend to avoid violence, war, and murder more than men do, even as a secondary or tertiary option. They often prefer to create protective measures and healing solutions instead of instruments of control or mass destruction.

It hardly needs mentioning that, in 2023, most people do not desire war. They consistently prioritize healing and comfort over something as primitive as geopolitical conflict.

The Plandemic, fortunately, has led more of us to awaken and remember what truly matters, contrary to Big Pharma's original intent.

The potential of Web 3 extends beyond profit and fear; it transcends greed. It resides in gratitude, joy, empowerment, and collaboration—values that thrive in a world where equity is distributed evenly, rather than having 1% of the population possess 99% of the wealth. In essence, a decentralized world, akin to a unified spherical web, as opposed to a centralized one, resembling the tip of a spear or communities existing within a pyramid structure with hierarchical thinking. No, the greatest era for humanity is one where power and knowledge are shared as equally as possible, instead of being hoarded or fought over. When scarcity and survival cease to be our primary focus, we can begin to take care of one another while still having ample time to explore the universe from the inside out and return to the real stars.

As a species, we must collectively make this choice in order to evolve. We cannot allow competition, greed, and unfair wealth distribution to define our values, regardless of the various currencies and assets in the world. These are merely symbols we exchange; we must not forget their true significance. Our world once had fair symbols and representative currency, but even then, we couldn't rely on our leaders to protect us from greed and war. If this is the dark side of humanity, we must collectively decide to be better, or we risk self-destruction by failing to accurately represent our planet's resources. In a world where money is now nearly entirely digital, we could quickly run out of fuel, gadgets, and food because a group of unaware sociopaths refuses to allow wealth to flow freely, evenly, and rapidly, as we need to survive as sentient beings.

Perhaps this is a fate that befalls most planets with life in the universe. Perhaps this is what happened to Mars.

Maybe most species become extinct due to an unstable, uneven distribution of energy among their collective cells. Perhaps this is the nature of reality—to decay, to succumb to entropy. Alternatively, maybe we are truly part of a simulation, and the power source for a super AI unleashed during a future singularity is running low. Who knows?

So, what is the treasure trove? What if I told you there's an alternative we haven't explored?

It's known as a Decentralized Business Model, and it has the potential to eradicate the corruption in humanity's DNA, leading us to the stars. It involves eliminating the need for leadership, intermediaries, and hierarchy altogether. We can finally break free from war, greed, crimes, famine, and poverty. We can end the ultimate war by relinquishing hierarchy and profit, and embracing Web 3 applications that truly retain all the value invested by participants within the network, distributing it evenly without infringing on users' privacy.

Consider this: Social Media companies exploit both advertisers and regular users. They take money from advertisers but provide minimal conversion while profiting from the data of their regular users. In Web 2, you are the product being sold at a premium; advertising is just a facade, a disguise for this truth.

Think about it. We have a choice: either decentralize wealth and information or continue allowing 1% of our collective brain to make decisions for the remaining 99%.

This is the choice we've all been waiting for—to share and care, to lay down our weapons and shields and unite as one.

4 battlegrounds + the elusive IoT

Is there no One protocol to rule them all?

Dear readers, here’s why we keep talking about Web 3 like it’s “The greatest thing in the history of life!” … to quote Gary Vee.

We talk about Web 3 because it’s not just about websites, platforms and blockchain, there are 4 important battle grounds that are about to converge in Web 3. Battlegrounds of the digital world - of our digital self, they are about the essence of our interconnected humanity today. They are mass adopted technologies that had to exist for us to get here and now, the moment where we can begin to talk about Web 3… which is The greatest thing since “sliced bread”! YES! Ok! We know! Why? Because we now have a chance to witness the beginning of the possibility of one protocol to rule them all. Or at least, more inclusive and robust protocols that do more than just one thing.

Where’s the fight yo’?

The 4 battlegrounds are these:

Communication protocols ( electrical signals/transmission standards )
Identity protocols ( authentication and authorization standards )
Money protocols ( standards for storage and transfer of money / assets )
Interfaces ( mass adopted operating systems and web apps )

We'll start chronologically, with communication protocols:

1. Communication Protocols:

Here are the OGs, the most adopted communication protocols ever. Without these, no device would be able to communicate to another device, they’re the 4 kings that reign supreme:

TCP/IP (1970s-1980s): TCP/IP, which stands for Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol, was developed in the late 1970s and early 1980s. It laid the foundation for the modern internet by providing a standardized way for computers to communicate over a network. TCP/IP is an open and widely adopted protocol.
SMTP (1982): Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) was introduced in 1982. It is used for sending email messages between servers. SMTP is one of the fundamental protocols for email communication.
POP (Post Office Protocol) (1984): Post Office Protocol (POP) was first defined in 1984 as POP1. It allows email clients to retrieve messages from a mail server. POP3, a later version, became more popular and is still used today.
IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol) (1986): Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP) was developed in 1986. It's another email protocol that allows email clients to access and manage messages stored on a mail server more flexibly than POP. IMAP has become widely used for modern email applications.

Meanwhile, several communication protocols were gaining prominence or undergoing development, almost reaching the level of adoption seen by TCP/IP and email protocols. Here are a few important examples:

HTTP/3 (QUIC Protocol): HTTP/3, based on the QUIC (Quick UDP Internet Connections) protocol, was in development as a successor to HTTP/2. It aimed to improve web page loading times and security by using a new transport protocol that operates over UDP rather than TCP. HTTP/3 enhances the performance of web applications, making it a significant advancement in internet communication.
WebRTC (Web Real-Time Communication): WebRTC is a collection of protocols and APIs that enable real-time communication within web browsers. The first 4 are not perfect systems as they are centralized and have a number of vulnerabilities.

The elusive IoT protocols battleground

The reason this battleground is elusive, is because the world is not decided on what an IoT protocol actually is. I mean ok, we know it involves hardware, we know it involves things talking to each other, but their interaction actually extends to more than just hardware signals, in 2 dimensions. One dimension is about the physical hardware, but the other is about the virtual or the software.

As our things get smarter and smarter, especially with the AI trend today, the ability of things to physically send signals to other devices or nodes is not enough for their creators to compete in the market so they can keep getting made. They will also have to have the ability to remain connected to the Internet permanently and to execute different type of transactions on their owner’s behalf.

The most widely adopted hardware IoT communication protocols are:

NFC (Near Field Communication):
- Overview: NFC is a short-range wireless communication technology used for data exchange between devices in close proximity, typically within a few centimeters.
- Use Cases: Commonly used for contactless payments, access control, and data sharing between smartphones and IoT devices.
Bluetooth:
- Overview: Bluetooth is a wireless technology that allows for short-range data exchange between devices, making it ideal for connecting IoT devices in a personal area network (PAN).

There’s no actual software contender for these smart things, so far everyone’s been using their own custom solutions, there is no standard for them that has any real adoption. So there’s a lot of room here for contenders.

We believe Blockchain is the most important technology that has any real shot at becoming the default foundational layer for such a protocol to exist and get adopted, and the only protocol we know of that is trying to become the first mover in this space and also has the potential to make some of the other older protocols obsolete is the open source protocol BiiP (Biospheric Identity Internet Protocol) developed by the Gratitude Token World team.
